Michael C: (no problem Eileen - we're glad you're back)

Ying-Lan: Because it is too huge.

Michael C: Was it a Real Audio file?

Ying-Lan: Yes, it is.

Ying-Lan: ^The bad thing... I did not save the context of the email.

* Michael C * maggie - I'm also logging this bit....

Michael C: You mean the words to the song?

Ying-Lan: ^no... I wrote some sentences about the singer. and smomething in my mind. .

Michael C: oh. How big was the file?

Ying-Lan: ^let me check it.

Michael C: Eileen - do you often work on Sundays?

Ying-Lan: ^It is 836 KB

Ying-Lan: ^Huge?

Michael C: mmm...not so big. But obviously e-groups must have a limit.

Maggi: keep talking...

Ying-Lan: ^The email just disappeared on Internet.

Ying-Lan: ^Nobody could read it.

Michael C: Most of my songs are about 400-500 k.

Ying-Lan: That's my stupid

Ying-Lan: ^Have you heard the famous blue raincoat?

Michael C: Is that a song?

Ying-Lan: ^"The famous bule raincoat" is the title of the song which I sent it.

Ying-Lan: ^It is an old song.. the album released in 1986.

Michael C: I don't know this song. What is is about?

Ying-Lan: ^A letter from Leonard Cohen.

Maggi: Cohen is one of my favorites!

Michael C: Ah - Leonard Cohen! Then maybe it's a bit depressing!

Ying-Lan: ^depessing?

Maggi: he isn't so much depressing as he makes you think about things.

Michael C: Yes. Something that makes you sad.

Ying-Lan: ^I don't know... Maybe I don't really understand the English song....

Michael C: You're very quiet Eileen......

New Friend: Hi everyone I have to be off line, It is very nice time to meet with you.

Ying-Lan: Why?

Michael C: Come back again Eileen.

Maggi: I bet I am doing all this work to save every 15 minutes and it isn't necessary...:-)

Ying-Lan: she is gone.

Michael C: Tool late!

Michael C: I don't know Maggie.

Ying-Lan: But the vocal by Jennifer Warnes.

Michael C: Vance must have a reason for doing it that way.

Maggi: I thought so too...I don't want to disappoint him!

Ying-Lan: ^I was so wonder why vance could keep the whole conversation.

Michael C: Jennifer Warnes? Don't think I've heard her either.

Ying-Lan: Really?

Ying-Lan: ^I don't like the lady?

Michael C: Well if you edit the conversation it takes longer.

Ying-Lan: ^Jennifer warnes?

Michael C: I don't know Ying. I just don't think I've heard her sing.

Ying-Lan: Oh....

Michael C: Does she have stuff on the web?

Maggi: I always thought the whole thing was saved when you opened the log.

Ying-Lan: Yeappp. Sometimes, I read the whole conversation to find my mistake.

Michael C: Good on you Ying!

Ying-Lan: ^I appreciate you to save the whole conversation.

Michael C: I think that does save the whole thing maggie....

Michael C: It's a great way to learn Ying.

Maggi: shouldn't that be good for you?

Ying-Lan: Michale, the website of Jennifer warnes is building now.

Ying-Lan: ^Do you want to listen the sone?

Ying-Lan: ^I could send it to you by email, if you want.

Maggi: then why does Vance save to a MS doc every 15 min? Something about the buffer filling up...

Michael C: Yes - but I don't know if I want you to email me something so big!

Ying-Lan: What?

Michael C: You should put it on your website.

Ying-Lan: So big

Ying-Lan: I don't know how to put it on my web?

Ying-Lan: ^What is the Real server?

Michael C: It's not so hard. I would imagine that Geocities have Real Server set up.

Ying-Lan: ^I don't think it is illegal to put the song on my web... If it is not authorized by her company.

Ying-Lan: ^I think it is illegal to put the song on my web... If it is not authorized by her company.

Michael C: That's a good question. It may be illegal. I worry about that because I have 2 songs of other people on my site and I haven't asked permission.

Ying-Lan: Sooo, give up it.

Michael C: But at least on myb site I am singing the songs. It's my version of their material.

Michael C: And I credit the writers for the songs. i don't pretend they're mine or anything.

Ying-Lan: ^Where do I get the real server of the geocities?

Ying-Lan: ^Michale c,,, you don

Ying-Lan: ^you don't want to have the song of the Famous blue rain coat...

Michael C: You may not need to get it. Check if you can hear real Audio files from other Geocities sites. I bet you can.

Ying-Lan: Then?

Ying-Lan: ^If I listen to it, then I will get the real server?

Michael C: OK Ying. Send it to me. Now would be a good time actually.....

Ying-Lan: ^Send it by ICQ?

Michael C: If Geocities ghave Real Server configured for use on their pages you don;t have to get the Real Server.

Michael C: No Ying. I'd prefer normal email please.

Ying-Lan: ^I can not send it by icq

Michael C: Whatever you prefer....

Michael C: Maggie - is all this logging business keeping you quiet?!

Michael C: Did anyone else come here tonight?

Michael C: Felt like a change Ying?

Ying-Lan: @64,64 !It's Ying-Lan

Ying-Lan: Sorry

Ying-Lan: ^I have to chang the ISP to send the email to Michaelc.

Michael C: So small..but cute. Why sorry?

Maggi: Yes...this is the pits...

Maggi: I keep losing where I left off copying...

Ying-Lan: ^It will take for 5 mintutes to sent the file, I guess.

Ying-Lan: ^It is o.k. maggi.

Michael C: Well I'll just send the bit that I've saved when we finish...if that helps..

Michael C: If we talk less you'll have less to save!

Ying-Lan: ^Do you "Leonard Cohen"?

Ying-Lan: ^Do you like "Leonard Cohen"?

Maggi: Maybe I give it up since you have it Michael...

Maggi: I love Cohen

Ying-Lan: Really!

Michael C: I don;t have it Ying. But don't worry if it's too hard.

Ying-Lan: @64,64 !It's Ying-Lan

Michael C: And i do like Cohen - I just have to be in the right mood to listen to him.

Maggi: He is really deep!

Michael C: And sombre! (or somber?)

Ying-Lan: ^o.k. Michalec, it is done.

Ying-Lan: ^It was sent by email.

Michael C: OK Ying. I'll check.....

Ying-Lan: Maggi, do you want to listen to the song?

Maggi: did you see the film McCabe and Mrs. Miller?

Ying-Lan: No... not yet

Michael C: The song is coming in now. It will be interesting to see how long it takes.

Ying-Lan: ^I hope you like it.

Ying-Lan: What is the film? maggi.

Maggi: sure!

Maggi: It has the music from Cohen...and old film though...end of the 60'Ä

Maggi: 60's or early 70's

Ying-Lan: ^I am too young to see the film. LOL ^0^

Michael C: I think I saw it....many years ago!

Ying-Lan: ^I think it did not released in Taiwan.

Ying-Lan: ^I think it did not release in Taiwan.

Michael C: ...did not GET released in Taiwan, (It has to be in the Passive.)

Ying-Lan: Thanks

Michael C: The song is half downloaded....

Ying-Lan: It did not get released in Taiwan.

Ying-Lan: I only read those lyrics in the casette.

Ying-Lan: ^Like "First we take Manhattan... "

Ying-Lan: ^I think I don't really understand the menings like you.

Michael C: What do you mean? Is this another bumper sticker?

Ying-Lan: ^It seems so simple...

Michael C: Well lyrics and poetry can usually have meanings on different levels.

Maggi: I think she is talking about song lyrics

Michael C: Maybe a simple level and a deeper level. And the deeper levels are always difficult!

Ying-Lan: No.. I only read the works of Leonard Cohen in the casetts which I bought.

Ying-Lan: ^I don't think it is depressing until you told me.

Ying-Lan: ^Maybe I misunderstand it.

Ying-Lan: ^I like to listen to the song when it rained all night.

Maggi: and that isn't easy in English

Ying-Lan: ^Really?

Michael C: I'm listening to the song now.....

Maggi: Cohen is not so depressing YSing!

Michael C: OK OK. Cohen is not depressing!

Ying-Lan: why do you like him?

Ying-Lan: ^He is a good looking? lol

Maggi: I like him because he makes you think.

Ying-Lan: Think what?

Ying-Lan: ^The bird on a wire...

Michael C: He wrote many songs that I remember a particular time of my lkife and many of my friends listened to him all the time!

Michael C: Bird on a wire is great!

Michael C: And Suzanne.

Ying-Lan: ^Micalec , do you like the song "Famous bule raincoat"?

Michael C: "Suzanne takes you down to a place by the river." Yes Ying I like it. Very moody saxophone!

Maggi: Susanne is forever in my mind because of the film.

Ying-Lan: It is slow...

Ying-Lan: I don't know the song.

Michael C: Hey - I have to go. I have to go and Pick up my son. Thanks for the song Ying.

Michael C: Shall I send you my log Maggie?

Maggi: ok...so now I HAVE to make sure...

Ying-Lan: ^It is hard to buy the casette of Leonard Cohen.

Ying-Lan: It is o.k.

Maggi: I have it actually...

Michael C: Don't worry now. Let me know.....

Maggi: I figured no one would show up except the diehards.

Michael C: Have to rush. Bye.

Maggi: bye

Ying-Lan: bye

*** Page from System: Michael C has logged off, 1 wizard remains(you)
