Good news. Papyrus News reader Vance Stevens (vstevens at emirates.net.ae) of AMIDEAST in Abu Dhabi has generously offered to maintain online archives of Papyrus News. He is gradually putting up the back messages and will attempt to keep current messages posted. To access the archives, see <https://members.tripod.com/vstevens/papyrus/news.htm>. I've also included a link to the archive page from the Papyrus News information home page <http://www.lll.hawaii.edu/web/faculty/markw/papyrus-news.html>, which is always listed in the introductory paragraph above.

Another reader, Khalid Abalhassan (khalid@khalidnet.com), has come up with a good idea. Abalhassan maintains a mailing list of his own called TSL (The Saudi Linguist, a communication arena for linguists mainly from Saudi Arabia and potentially from the Arab world -- to subscribe or ask questions, contact TSL-owner@onelist.com). Anyway, Abalhassan decided to put his entire mailing list on Papyrus News. (Welcome TSL members!) If any readers maintain your own mailings lists that you'd like to receive all Papyrus News mailings, let me know and we can work out the arrangements.

While I'm discussing mailing lists, South American readers might be interested in knowing about News & Views, an information service for English teachers in the Cono Sur. See http://www.eltnewsandviews.com for more information. Mark Warschauer.
